I found this quote Thursday night while sitting in Fern's room at the house on Ellis. I searched the many books, letters, and some of her writings. I started realize what an interesting life she had led and mostly the connections she made with people along the way.

She loved anything that could put a smile on her face, whether it was a poem, a painting, a good conversation or just watching the birds from the front window.

But most of all it was the people she met thoughout her life. Fern didn't give all her love to one person, she gave it all to everyone. That's what made her stand out, and that is why we are all here today.

I always felt loved when she was in the room, I love you Grama, and I hope you're healed.
